Project Scope
Dalberg Global Development Advisors, with the funding of Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), was commissioned to conduct a multi-country financial behavior survey. This household survey aimed to uncover financial behavior, explore lifestyle, consumption and investment choices, and a set of socio-cultural behavioral characteristics. The survey results were aimed at informing the design of various consumer-oriented financial services.
Dalberg hired services of AiD Pvt. Ltd. for data collection services in Pakistan.
Services
A robust and nationally representative sample of 3,180 households was selected. The sample was spread over 67 districts of Pakistan across all four provinces, GB and AJK. The survey was conducted using android-based enumeration software developed by Dalberg Research.
The scope of work specifically included the following tasks:
- Design of sampling methodology, sampling frame and extraction of sample.
- Hiring and training of a team of 25 field surveyors;
- Administration of data collection across 67 districts of Pakistan;
- Data quality assurance through back checks and call backs;
A team of 24 experienced enumerators and 5 supervisors was trained and mobilized to carry out the survey.
