The project scope called for Monitoring, Evaluation, Quality Assurance and Quality Control of Barrage site & main canal and the distribution network including weir head regulators, flood carrier channels etc.
Description of actual services provided in the assignment:
AID as a subcontractor of NESPAK was awarded the USAID funded contract “Architect & Engineering Services IQC Contract for NESPAK – AID – 391-1-11-00004-“ under this umbrella contract, the consortium further contracted the project named as Architect-Engineer Services for the Milestone Verification of Gomal Zam irrigation project in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which entails the Monitoring, Evaluation, Quality Assurance and Quality Control of irrigation system i.e. 60.5 km main canal, 17 distributaries having length of 205 km including 481 structures (fall, outlet, bridge, regulator) 20 drainage lines of 186 km, 284 drains structure, 42 km of flood protection bunds, 48 km of flood carrier channels including 26 structures and Barrage located at Kot Murtaza.
