Project Scope
The World Bank has developed the Strengthening Coaching and Adapting to Local languages in Education (SCALE) project, as part of its efforts to improve teaching practices in classrooms and support the introduction of the Teach and Coach tools in Pakistan.
Within this context the World Bank has commissioned AiD to carry out this survey in 600 schools across 6 districts of Punjab, KP and Balochistan. AiD will collect two rounds of data (a baseline and an endline) to aid in evaluating the impact of interventions (through a randomized experiment) designed to facilitate a more effective model for teacher training and mentorship.
Services
The scope of this assignment is to conduct a complete survey of teachers, school leaders,
students and classrooms in 600 primary public schools across 6 districts in KP, Punjab and
Balochistan. Two rounds of data will be collected approximately 7 months apart from the
same teachers, school leaders, students of the teachers interviewed and classrooms. The data
to be collected will include:
1) Teacher Surveys;
2) Classroom Observations;
3) Headteacher Surveys;
4) Surveys with School Leaders and
Administrative Education Officers;
5) Student Assessments;
6) Student Interviews;
7) Parent Surveys; and
8) Measuring Classroom and School Air
Quality.
The AiD’s scope of services included finalizing survey questionnaires with the client; organizing and mobilizing survey teams; conducting surveys; data entry and processing, and reporting.
