Project Scope
USAID (under the BPA) has awarded AiD the Call Order/ Contract for performance monitoring of two on-going USAID activities;
- SMEA aims to increase incomes and employment in activity-assisted economic sectors and improve the enabling environment for private sector-led growth in Pakistan and contribute towards achieving USAID/ Pakistan’s Development Objective (DO) of ‘Increased private-sector-led inclusive economic growth.’
- PREIA is aimed at the provision of technical support to: Build the capacity of the Government of Pakistan (GoP) to develop and implement policy, law, and regulation reform that improve Pakistan’s trade enabling environment; Support the private sector and civil society’s engagement in trade related policy-making; Support regional trade and transit facilitation by Customs to access regional markets; and Support regional Business to Business (B2B) / Business to Government (B2G) linkages for improved regional trade and economic connectivity.
Services
AiD Pvt. Ltd. is providing performance monitoring services through site visits for a wide range of interventions implemented under the PREIA and SMEA. These monitoring services include quarterly site visits to the specific activities under each project. The site visits include validation of performance indicator data reported to USAID/ Pakistan by the implementing partners, direct observation of events or interventions in the field, verification of equipment and other products and services delivered and feedback from the beneficiaries and stakeholders.
The findings are presented to USAID COR in a debrief meeting and in the form of a quarterly monitoring report.
