Description of Project:
The project scope included Monitoring and Evaluation services for the US$290 Million USAID funded ‘FATA Infrastructure Project covering the entire FATA and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The project scope included following targeted activities:
- Nearly 500km of roads
- 9smalldams
- Over500km rehabilitation of power lines
- Up gradation of a60kvto 132kv and other infrastructure
- 132KV Grid Station Wana
- Amandara headworks and allied structures
Description of actual services provided in the assignment:
Core services included design vetting, third party monitoring/supervision of construction quality and progress for 497 km of Roads, 22 bridges 9 Dams, 500 km of rehabilitation of power lines and new grid station; Additional key services included payment certification against pre-agreed milestones, a review and approval of design, costings, PC-I approvals and technical assistance to COTR/USAID for emerging tasks, Conducting necessary field visits, topographic surveys (providing as-built situation with all utilities and relevant information), Geo-technical investigations and tests.
Services also called for ensuring a baseline survey, mid-term evaluation and an end of project evaluation.
Relevant components included design Vetting of feasibility study report for Khundiwam Irrigation Scheme and Dhana Weir. Design vetting Monitoring and Evaluation of Amandarrah headworks.
