The scope of the project included:
- Regaining the reservoir capacity lost due to sedimentation
- Storing more water for irrigation releases
- Minimize conservation of flood discharges and thereby
- Enhance Irrigation releases
Description of actual services provided in the assignment:
The consultancy services of the project involved; i) Detailed Engineering and Tender Documentation Phase, ii) Bidding and Award of Construction Contract(s) Phase, providing information and replying to queries made by the prospective bidders, evaluation of bids and assisting the client in finalization and award of the contract, iii) Construction Supervision where AiD’s main contribution for the assignment was to supervise the construction of civil works, supply and installation of mechanical/electrical equipment’s. AiD inputs focused on quality assurance and construction supervision, through the provision of technical expertise.
