Narrative description of Project:
Arbab Niaz Stadium, located in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, is a prominent Test cricket venue in Pakistan. Due to the deteriorated on-ground conditions, particularly in the pavilion and associated facilities, the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa initiated a project for the comprehensive upgradation and improvement of the stadium by engaging consultancy services.
The scope of work included:
- Feasibility s]Study, design, and construction supervision of a second-tier structure to accommodate an additional 21,000 spectators.
- Rehabilitation and upgradation of the existing stadium infrastructure.
- Design and construction of a new pavilion, players’ hostel block, toilet blocks, and tuck shops.
- Repair and restoration of all existing buildings.
- Design and installation of a sewerage system for the entire sports complex.
- Construction of an overhead water tank.
- Development of entrance gates and decorative murals.
- Construction and repair of internal roads.
- Design and implementation of water supply, drainage, and sewerage systems for the stadium.
- Execution of various miscellaneous works necessary for the enhancement of the facility.
Description of actual services provided in the assignment:
The firm provides consultancy services for implementation of the project through detailed survey of the projects, test and investigations, detailed designing and drawings, submission of complete bidding documents, tender assistance, design review, contractor’s bid evaluation, construction supervision with quality assurance through related field/laboratory test, payment certification and overall project reporting.
