Description of Project:
PMU/MSP-KP engaged AiD for USAID funded to provide detailed design and supervision services for the provision of services relating to the drinking water supply System, sanitation including drainage/sewerage, wastewater treatment plant and solid waste management (“SWM”). AiD is responsible to provide technical support in addition to services required for procurement, planning, design, construction supervision, quality assurance, and IPC verification for the improvement of solid waste, wastewater and drinking water facilities in the WSSP mandate areas of Peshawar, Dera Ismail Khan and Malakand Divisions.
Description of actual services provided by your staff within the assignment:
- To conduct feasibility survey & detailed engineering design of water supply & sanitation services in 43- Urban UC’s of Peshawar.
- To supervise the construction activities of the ongoing and new projects.
- Monitoring, QA, verification of IPC’s & survey/ design & construction supervision of the new schemes related to water & Sanitation services in DI Khan & Malakand Division.
- Review and verify hydrological/hydraulic, structural, and architectural designs, drawings, technical specifications, BOQs, engineer’s estimates prepared by the then A & E Consultant for the drinking water supply, sanitation including drainage/sewerage, and SWM projects in Peshawar, Dera Ismail Khan and Malakand divisions.
- Certify the achievement of payment milestones as identified in the project implementation letters (PILs) signed between USAID and GoKP for MSPKP activities. Review and revision of PIL if required.
- Prepare detailed work plan, progress reports and implementation schedule for the project to ensure effective monitoring and timely project outputs and regularly update the same. Regularly undertake visits of project’s site, oversee the works and guide the contractors on the activities at site of work.
- Ensure the work performance as per masterplan of Peshawar by USA.
