Mr. Sajjad Nazir brings over 20 years of extensive experience in financial management, accounting, and compliance, with a deep specialization in donor-funded development projects. As Manager Finance and Accounts at Associates in Development (AiD), he plays a pivotal role in ensuring robust financial controls, regulatory compliance, and efficient financial planning across a wide range of AiD’s operations.
Since joining AiD in 2004, Mr. Sajjad has been instrumental in overseeing the financial management of large-scale, multi-donor projects funded by USAID, the World Bank, KfW, UNDP, and the European Union. His responsibilities span the entire spectrum of financial operations including budgeting, financial reporting, internal controls, taxation, audit coordination, and disbursement management. His leadership ensures that AiD maintains full compliance with donor requirements while optimizing financial efficiency and transparency.
At AiD, Mr. Sajjad has contributed significantly to projects such as the Third Party Monitoring Services for USAID’s PREIA and SMEA initiatives, the Sindh Basic Education Program, the Multi-Donor Trust Fund (MDTF), and the Rehabilitation and Reintegration Program for FATA, among others. His technical oversight has included financial systems development, capacity building of project teams, and regular engagement with internal and external auditors.
Mr. Sajjad is recognized for his ability to lead multidisciplinary finance teams and deliver high-quality outputs under tight deadlines. His work has strengthened AiD’s financial architecture, enabled seamless coordination with clients and stakeholders, and ensured the organization’s financial integrity across diverse and complex program portfolios.
He holds a Certified Accounting Technician qualification from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK, and is an Associate Public Accountant (APA) with the Institute of Public Accountants of Australia.
