As the founding Director and CEO of AiD Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Abdul Rashid Khan has managed the company’s growth since inception. He is a recipient of a gold medal from the UET Peshawar and holds a graduate degree in engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana¬ Champaign, USA.
Mr Khan brings over 30 years of diversified experience in entrepreneurship, planning, management and technical assistance for large multi-sectoral projects spanning over a dozen countries in many continents. He has closely worked with the federal and provincial government agencies in many countries as well as large bi-lateral and multi-lateral development partners including the World Bank, USAID, UNDP, IFAD, ADB, SDC and DFID at senior levels. He is therefore, fully familiar with international practices in development, as well as policy and institutional context in a number of countries in Asia, Africa and the northern hemisphere.
During the course of his professional career he has closely worked with senior policy makers, sector experts, large national and international consulting firms and NGOs, grass root organisations as well as local communities. Mr Rashid khan has also helped establish and successfully operate a number of private sector ventures in the education, telecom, agriculture and tourism sectors which reflects his entrepreneurial skills and an unwavering passion for innovation and business growth.
Mr Khan spends his time in the US and Pakistan, and currently manages AiD’s national as well as international operations covering the United States, South Asia, Central Asia, Middle East and Africa.
