Narrative description of Project:
Funded by the US and Government of KPK, the project scope included the design and construction supervision of 151,000 sq ft Joint Elite Police Training Centre. The total project cost was PKR 743 Million. The envisaged Elite Police Training Center was likely to become a national and regional hub for elite force anti-terrorist and specialized mission trainings. The key components of the project included:
- Multi-storey barracks and residential quarters
- Design and construction supervision of water supply layout, sanitation and drainage lines.
- Design and supervision of 20,000 gallons overhead water tank
- Parking sheds
- Firing range & shoot house
- Kot and magazine, weapon cleaning sheds
- Indoor prayer areas/ small mosques
- Mock rural, mock urban areas and maze
- 3 km roads and several roads structure
Description of actual services provided in the assignment:
The scope of works included planning, design, feasibility and detailed construction supervision of Joint Elite Police Training Facility at Hakimabad, Nowshera spread over an area of approximately 1000 Kanals.
The project involved providing concept to feasibility and materialization of the facility for KPK Police Department. The scope of work also entailed preparation of cost estimates, contracts, bidding documents and PC-1, Conducting necessary field visits, topographic surveys (providing as-built situation with all utilities and relevant information), Geo-technical investigations and tests and Detailed designing and supervision of water sanitation & hygiene (wash) component.
