Regional Business Advisor
Mr. Sayed Hassan Amin, an independent consultant based in the United Arab Emirates, provides advisory support to AID Pvt Ltd in regional business development, with a current focus on opportunities in Afghanistan and across Central Asian countries.
Mr. Amin, is a senior development professional with over 30 years of experience leading development programs across Afghanistan and the region. He holds a BSc honor in Electrical Engineering and a diploma in Civil Engineering.
Throughout his career, Mr. Amin has held key leadership roles with national and international organizations and donor-funded initiatives; UN agencies, NGOs and private sector. He served for over 15 years as a Senior Program Officer with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), in Peshawar, Islamabad and Kabul where he contributed to national drug control strategies, alternative livelihood programs, institutional capacity building, and policy planning.
He has deep expertise in program management, alternative livelihood development aimed at the elimination of illicit crops, designing technical cooperation programs with government counterparts, monitoring and evaluating development projects, and coordinating with donor agencies (USAID, EU, DFID, World Bank, etc.).
Mr. Amin has also participated in numerous international forums on drug control and alternative livelihood development programs across Asia and Europe.
