Project Scope
This research was a part of a larger Agent Network Accelerator (ANA) project funded by Gates Foundation. MicroSave, a Kenya based market research firm was awarded the funding to conduct the research in Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, Kenya and Tanzania among many other countries. The research has been designed to increase global understanding of how to build and manage sustainable CICO networks in poor communities. MicroSave commissioned Associates in Development (AiD) to administer and carry out the quantitative research component in Pakistan.
Services
MicroSave commissioned Associates in Development to conduct ANA research in Pakistan. The research included 3,000 surveys with retail agents of branchless banking network service providers from all across Pakistan (including Punjab, KP, Sindh, Baluchistan, AJK and GB). A random-route sampling design stratified at regional and district level has been adopted to ensure the robustness of collected data and gather nationally representative research findings. The survey has been conducted using digital devices, PDAs, whereby Android based operating devices have been used to conduct the research.
