Project Scope
AiD has worked as a Third Party Monitoring Agent for the Multi Donor Trust Fund (MDTF) Round 2 funded by World Bank. Following up on the 1st round, the 2nd round of MDTF projects expanded on support for essential services to the population impacted by various crises, including Terrorism on the border regions with Afghanistan (KPK, NMDs, and Baluchistan) and provided investments for short to medium-term reconstruction of the social and economic infrastructure. A bulk of the community Infrastructure was focused on providing Water and Sanitation services to the communities. AiD has monitored 2 of MDTF projects; Southern Area Development Project (SADP) and Economic Revitalization for KP & FATA (ERKF). TPMA’s work included quarterly assessments of project’s Implementation Support, Community Development and Social Mobilization component, Community Physical Infrastructures (CPI), Environment and Social Safeguards Assessments, M&E, Financial Management and Procurement and Gender Aspects. Specific TPMA tasks included review of action plans of community organizations in service delivery projects and assess their sustainability; ongoing monitoring of 1300 Community Based Organizations, monitoring of CPIs and assessment of the Livelihood activities (Including the vocational skills training) for SADP.
