Project Scope and Services

The World Bank has commissioned AiD to conduct the National Energy Survey (NES) which aims to capture the “multidimensional nature of energy access” across Pakistan, using its Multi-Tier Framework (MTF). The NES focused on all provinces and territories of the country and has four main components:

• Household Listing and Household survey (Sample size of 6,240 households across 520 enumeration blocks)
• Community survey (Sample size of 520 communities)
• Public sector education and health facilities (Sample size of 400 facilities each)
• Micro-enterprises survey (Sample size of 750 enterprises)

The scope of work included development and finalization of sampling design for all four surveys, selection of sample, training and pre-testing, CAPI application development, listing, sampling, survey administration, data and survey quality assurance and data analysis.
