Under the Livelihoods Programme of Inter Cooperation (IC), AiD has conducted perception survey for Climate Change adaptation in agriculture sector in selected districts of KPK. The study was focused on determining the perceptions of local communities regarding the changing climatic conditions and its effects on their livelihood including farming and livestock. It also highlighted the hazards they are prone to, mainly floods and local adaptation strategies to minimize their losses against those hazards. In this research study, AiD analyzed the climate change and its impact on agriculture and water resources in selected districts of KP, organized workshops with relevant stakeholders and developed CC scenario Reports for Dera Ismail Khan, Karak and Chitral and frontier region. The research served as important base for the planners to suggest future strategies for adaptation to climate change, mainly in the field of food production.
