Narrative description of Project:

The Project calls for assisting USAID with a large Monitoring & Evaluation contract (USD 3.4 million) for the “Quick Impact Project” in South Waziristan Agency- FATA. The contract covers monitoring and evaluation services for a large range of infrastructure projects that aim to rehabilitate basic services and livelihoods in the targeted areas.

AiD is providing technical assistance to USAID in monitoring and quality evaluation of approximately 500 kilometers of black top roads, 9 dams, of height between 20 meters to 30 meters, and restoration of electricity in various parts of South Waziristan Agency (FATA).

Description of actual services provided in the assignment:

Principal tasks included preparation of a quality assurance plan including inspection schedules and standard inspection Forms, pre-construction report describing site conditions prior to start of construction activities, effective monitoring and evaluation of the technical/construction aspects of this project and coordinating the implementation of the Contractor’s Construction Quality Assurance Plan with the Construction Supervisors.
